Yesterday a group of volunteers from the Home Design Group did a skydive for Helping Hand. This exciting event was as part of our charity initiative for 2018.
The tandem skydive was organised to raise funds for our charity partner, Helping Hand. This is a charity to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. Fundraising helps us support this truly worthy and essential cause. A wonderful charity close to the hearts of our team, we are pledging to raise and donate £5,000 in funds this year. These funds support sick children and their families here in Northern Ireland. Helping Hand charity was established to provide the best equipment, to fund research, education. All of this while also supporting the needs of children and parents in Northern Ireland.
We hope to help purchase vital new equipment to diagnose and treat the hospital’s young patients. As well as provide facilities and services for families and to fund research into children’s illnesses.
To help us achieve our donation target, we’ll be undertaking a series of events across the year. Starting with yesterday’s skydive! Thankfully, the weather was on our side and we had a beautiful sunny day.
All in all, it was a fun and exhilarating way to raise some funds. We increased awareness of Helping Hand, Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children while team bonding!
A big well done to everyone who took part, raised funds or made donations and supported our team! Check out the pictures from the day and keep up to date with the latest new by signing up to our monthly ezine here.
